We need your help to stop vans being allowed to use the shared path at the Lewes end of Egrets Way. The planners are recommending this proposal to be approved. Please, please, please raise your objections to this terrible idea. More news here: http://cycleseahaven.org.uk/ew8/

Are OVCN going to comment on the proceedings at the Piddinghoe Parish Council meeting this week? My feeling is that strong residential support for Egrets Way is not being represented by the elected officers of that parish.

On Saturday 20th September the Big Parks Project in Peacehaven are holding a cycling event to publicise Piddinghoe Park as a cycle hub. There are two rides, one for families and beginners and the other for more experienced riders.
The experienced riders will start at the big park, head out to Woodingdean, and finish by riding along the Southease to Rodmell part of Egrets Way to the Abergavenny for a free buffet lunch.

With planning permission currently being sought for an end-to-end shared route alongside the river, we're as close as we've ever been to seeing this wonderful scheme actually happen. The very best thing you can do right now is to log in to the planning portal website and leave comments of support where they will be officially reviewed by planners and councillors.
