Sad fact is that going south from Lewes you can cycle just under the bridge at the recycle depot and that is about it. Also, unless the 'Landowner' ever gives permission to have the path surfaced the prospect of cycling to even Southease from Lewes is remote. To be honest having been a big fan of this project since I first saw a tent at an event on the railway land, when the name was still being discussed, I am losing faith. One path that can be cycled on a normal bike from Lewes to Newhaven is what is needed. The time scale on this project is not dis-similar to that of HS2. As I work in Seaford and live in Lewes with the new railway timetable this route would have been very handy.
